Why I Chose PenningFiction
After I decided to name my blog "PenningFiction" I wanted to find out what exactly that meant. I looked up the definitions of "penning" and "fiction" from a few different websites to start with. After I collected some definitions I started to combine them and ended up creating three definitions of what exactly PenningFiction means and is all about.
To write or compose a literary work whose content is produced by the imagination.
The act of writing an imaginative creation that does not represent actuality.
To scribble or compile something untrue that is intentionally represented as true by the narrator.
I enjoy writing so I wanted to make this blog to encourage myself to write as much as possible. After moving I have found some of my stories I wrote back when I was 10 to 14 years old. I remember writing one of them in my fourth grade class. Only a few of them actually have dates on them but others I vaguely remember what grade I was in. Reading them after so many years they are funny, horribly written, but very funny. Some are even a little weird, well very weird. I hope you all will find them funny as well. All of my old stories I will post the exact way they are on paper; misspellings and all and boy are there a lot of those!
I also want to post my new ideas and writing to share and receive feedback. I hope that everyone will find humor and enjoy my writing. I will (try to) post some kind of short story, old story, or ideas to stories each month to give you the desire to want to keep coming back. I've even thought about writing a story that I can stretch out over the space of a few weeks or months. (Similarly to a T.V. show.)
PenningFiction is a place where I hope you will enjoy coming back to each month. Whether you are young, old, married, or single I hope this blog will allow your imagination to expand and see the crazy world inside my mind.
